This is being interpreted by players as a sign that Serenity, in its current hyperinflated form, is going to be abandoned soon for a more microtransactions intensive play style, so many are considering/already leaving for Tranquility right now. Yet more importantly, NetEase, Serenity's operator, just announced beta testing for a new separate Chinese server (with highsec surrounding nullsec, non-permanent losses, fixed alliance sizes and other weird stuff, do the google translate yourself) Serenity might see a final world war showdown this week. There is an ongoing player exodus from Serenity, but tranquility is still steadily losing some 500 active players per week.
